The fall 2011 issue of T E News began with the question “What is Entertaiment?” The subject matter was enormous; entertainment has evolved from a private activity for two to banquets for hundreds, and from activities used in hunting and war to performances staged for thousands and broadcast to a global audience. And while entertainment may be viewed as play or as serious satire, it also serves as education and intellectual growth. The familiar forms of entertainment, it seems, have endless possibilities for creative remix.
