The New York Daily News, the Illustrated Daily News, the Yale Daily News, and the Los Angeles Illustrated Daily News are just a few of the options. Each of these daily publications has their own strengths and weaknesses. Which one is best for you depends on your interests and needs.
New York Daily News
The New York Daily News is a daily newspaper based in Jersey City, NJ. The newspaper was founded by Joseph Medill Patterson in 1919 and became the first daily newspaper in the United States to print in a tabloid format. It reached its highest circulation in 1947, with 2.4 million copies sold daily.
In the mid-20th century, the paper took up issues such as housing, transportation, and quality-of-life issues. It fought for the interests of the people by promoting conservative goals, such as loosening restrictions on development and allowing police officers to do as they please. It also encouraged private enterprise to provide certain city services.
Illustrated Daily News
The Illustrated London News, a British weekly newspaper with a rich and colorful collection, began in 1842. Published until 1971, the newspaper covered world and British events, including disasters, ceremonies, arts, and science. In addition to stories of everyday life, the newspaper also featured illustrations and portraits of people who helped shape our world.
Despite the newspaper’s success, early illustrated newspapers faced a number of challenges, including poor engravers and high production costs. Also, once the blocks were ready to print, the subject matter was no longer newsworthy. However, one English immigrant, Henry Carter, alias Frank Leslie, managed to make the Illustrated Daily News a commercial success, and eventually began a new tradition for illustrated press publishing.

The news covers Yale University, the city of New Haven, the state of Connecticut, and more. It is published five days a week, with a sports section on Monday and an opinion forum on Friday. The News is led by a managing board composed of staff members who were elected in their junior years. Until the 1970s, the paper was led by a single chairman. Today, the editor-in-chief and publisher serve as co-presidents of the Yale Daily News Publishing Company.
Baltimore Sun
The Baltimore Sun is the largest general-circulation daily newspaper in Maryland. It was founded in 1857 and has an online presence. The Baltimore Sun has several distinct sections. These include “A”-matter, the main points of a story; “A”-section, the leading pages of the journal; “Art,” the graphic illustration of a story; “AP,” which is the news agency that employs reporters around the world. AP stories are syndicated nationwide. In addition to the newspaper’s printed editions, the Sun also publishes more than 30 blogs covering a wide range of topics.
Despite the newspaper’s long history, Baltimore Sun Media has closed its printing plant in south Baltimore and laid off more than 100 employees. The last press run at the Baltimore plant took place on Jan. 30, and reporters from The Baltimore Sun were present to witness the closing of the Baltimore plant. This decision was made because of the dwindling circulation of the newspaper. However, The Baltimore Sun’s former owner, Under Armour founder Kevin Plank, owns a large printing plant in Baltimore.
